Meet the Team
We know that finding the right fit for you is important! Have a read about our physiotherapists; Luke, Lou and Millie below:
-
Luke worked as a Dairy Farmer for 6 years prior to becoming a health professional. His unique background in agriculture and physical labour brings a distinct perspective and skill set to his practice. His experience in farming has instilled a strong work ethic and commitment to every client who comes through the door. His combined knowledge of the body and understanding of the challenges faced by those in physically demanding occupations, allows him to provide specialised care tailored to the needs of anyone seeking to regain their strength and mobility.
-
Luke is a high-level CrossFit athlete who spends his spare time training the many mixed modalities of CrossFit. This can be anything from mountain biking to running, weightlifting, swimming, gymnastics and everything in between.
He has a passion for water sports and will get up to Lake Rotoiti for a ski or barefoot ski any chance possible.
You can also find him coaching at Tasman Bay CrossFit using his experience in both high-level competition and physiotherapy to help people with their everyday fitness.

Millie is joining the team from February 9th! Originally from Leeston, Canterbury, she is a graduate of the University of Otago. Coming from a farming background, Millie has first-hand understanding of the physical demands of manual labour, which aligns closely with Rx Health’s practical, results-driven approach to care. Millie has worked in a variety of sports environments - acting as a medic for numerous rugby teams over the last three years. She is well versed in the assessment and management of both acute and chronic sporting injuries.
-
Millie’s keen on anything outdoors – hiking, swimming, you name it! She’s often heading away on adventures in the long weekends.
This year, Millie is acting as a sports medic for the Waimea Combined First XV team which Rx Health is a proud sponsor of!
Card game happening? Millie will be there!

Lou treats using a basis of person-centred care and individualised rehabilitation which she tailors to suit individual sporting and lifestyle goals. She gained a degree in Anatomy which sparked an interest in pregnancy and post-partum care prior to studying and entering the Physiotherapy profession. Since graduating, Lou has been able to combine this interest with sporting (and everyday) injury rehabilitation.
-
Lou competes on the national stage in Olympic Weightlifting and is known to dabble in some adult’s gymnastics.
She can be found coaching classes at Tasman Bay CrossFit and uses her knowledge of physiotherapy to modify movements and intensities appropriately to keep people active regardless of injury or ability level.
She also loves boardgames!
